Join one of Hong Kong's most iconic charity challenges in the Oxfam Trailwalker 2024! Celebrating its 40th anniversary, this event invites teams of four to embark on a rigorous 100 km trek across the scenic trails of the New Territories. Participants will start at Pak Tam Chung in Sai Kung and journey through the rugged hills and valleys to the finish line at Harrow International School in Tuen Mun.
Event Details:
- Date: November 15-17, 2024
- Distance: 100 km
- Team Composition: 4 members, all aged 18 or above
- Time Limit: 48 hours
For the first time, there will also be a 40 km option, designed to introduce new participants to the challenge. This route starts at Pak Tam Chung and ends at Gilwell Campsite in Fei Ngo Shan, with a completion time of up to 20 hours.
Participation and Fundraising:
- Registration: Teams must apply between May 23 and June 23, 2024, with a non-refundable application fee of HK$120.
- Selection: Teams are selected through a lottery on July 2, 2024.
- Fundraising: Each team is required to raise a minimum of HK$8,000, supporting Oxfam's efforts to combat poverty and inequality worldwide. Higher fundraising targets apply for Pledge and Invited Teams.

Route: The route is approximately 40 km long; it starts at the Pak Tam Chung in Sai Kung and finishes at Gilwell Campsite in Fei Ngo Shan
Team requirements: A team of four, aged over 18
Event format: Teams to complete the 40km within 20 hours
Application fee*: HK$120 per team (Application Period: 23/5-23/6/2024)
Lottery date : 2/7/2024
Registration fee* : HK$1,600 per team (Registration Period: 3-18/7/2024)
Donations:
Each team must raise a minimum of HK$8,000 in sponsorship, except for Pledge Teams, which must raise a minimum of HK$72,000 and for Invited Teams, which must raise a minimum of HK$38,000.
Teams that have raised HK$38,000 or above will be offered a special team’s quota for Oxfam Trailwalker 2025
Donations must be paid to Oxfam Hong Kong no later than 17 December, 2024.

If a team is allocated a slot for both 40km and 100km events, the team leader can only choose one event to register for

1.1 All teams must register and start at the designated time. No team is allowed to change its start time without the prior approval of the Organiser.
1.2 If you intend to join as an Elite Team, please note that teams applying to this category should have at least three members who have finished Oxfam Trailwalker events within 24 hours at least ONCE in the past three events (i.e. 2018, 2022 and 2023). Please submit these members’ certificates / results in one of the following ways
1.2.1 Upload the supporting certificate(s) as a JPG / PNG / PDF while registering online
1.2.2 Send a copy of the certificate(s), marked with your team number, via email to otwinfo@oxfam.org.hk .
1.2.3 Please note that if any of your team members change after your team becomes an Elite Team, you must submit their certificate(s). Oxfam reserves the right to allocate another team slot to teams that fail to provide supporting documents.
